THE HEART OF SOAVO: MOUNTAIN LAVENDER

On the sunny, steep slope in the heart of the Mürzer Oberland Nature Park, a plant with gentle powers thrives: mountain lavender, lat. Lavandula angustifolia. Where the hunting grounds of Emperor Franz Josef and the "Styrian Prince" Archduke Johann once lay, the flower spikes of our organic mountain lavender now sway in bright blue at over 800 m above sea level. We extract precious organic mountain lavender essential oil and the finest organic mountain lavender water from the lavender blossoms. A true treasure for skin care - and the heart of SOAVO natural cosmetics.

THE VISION: FARM TO SKIN

SOAVO founder Mag. Erwin Krall began the MOUNTAIN LAVENDER project in 2012 with the aim of processing regional plant ingredients from his own organic cultivation into effective and fine natural cosmetics. 32,000 Lavandula angustifolia sticks, a total of 160,000 individual mountain lavender plants, were planted in the alpine region of Upper Styria. Harvested by hand and distilled in the traditional way, mountain lavender oil is a treasure.

FARM TO SKIN

With raw materials from our own organic cultivation project in the alpine region of Upper Styria, Austria. Mountain lavender, mountain lavender water and selected alpine plants are the heart of the SOAVO recipes.

MADE IN AUSTRIA

Development & production in Austria. SOAVO prefers to work with regional and alpine plant raw materials.

PLANT INGREDIENTS

All formulations are based on natural and bioactive plant ingredients of premium quality. Emulsification and preservation of SOAVO products are also plant-based.

ORGANIC BOTANICALS

The highest standards apply to product quality. SOAVO uses certified organic plant ingredients: valuable plant extracts, purest essences, fine plant waters and cold-pressed, bioactive plant oils and seed oils.

SELECTED RAW MATERIALS

The high-quality ingredients are hand-picked and carefully selected for purity, skin compatibility and effectiveness and finely tuned to the desired care effect.

NATURAL COSMETICS

All ingredients comply with the international guidelines for controlled organic cosmetics (ie the Cosmos Standard and NaTrue cosmetic seals). Some products also carry the BIO AUSTRIA GARANTIE cosmetic seal for certified organic cosmetics.

CLEAN COSMETICS

Stay outside: synthetic fragrances, preservatives or dyes, petrochemicals, paraffins, PEG, PPG, synthetic additives, parabens and silicones.

CRUELTY FREE & VEGAN

All SOAVO products are vegan and PETA cruelty free certified. Our recipes and ingredients are not tested on animals.

SUSTAINABLE

When it comes to packaging, SOAVO also places value on sustainable, environmentally friendly and resource-saving criteria in production and the disposal of packaging material. All SOAVO packaging materials are recyclable.

ALPINE FRESH FRAGRANCE SYNFONY: The characteristic scent of mountain lavender combines opposites - sweetness & spice, freshness & warmth, relaxation & stimulation. Mountain lavender has an extremely fine and rich bouquet of scents: balsamic, spicy-tart like the summer morning air in the mountains, blossom-fresh like wild honey. It accompanies and enhances the wild, spicy scent of alpine power plants. The SOAVO signature scent was composed together with selected essences of stone pine and mountain pine, linden, thyme and rosemary: fresh, radiant and elegant - gently invigorating for the skin and senses.

QUALITY WORK

From the harvest and distillation in the MOUNTAIN LAVENDER PROJECT to the development and production of SOAVO natural cosmetics – many careful and hardworking hands contribute to the blossoming and thriving of SOAVO: cosmetic and aroma experts, plant experts, pioneers, advisors, cooperation partners, friends and harvest helpers.

The quality work of the SOAVO organic raw materials – mountain lavender oil and mountain lavender water – is carried out in partnership with the process engineer DI Günther Holzer .

Mag. Ingrid Karner was very helpful in assisting us with the topic of aroma studies.

The SOAVO recipes were developed in collaboration with the renowned natural cosmetics expert and manufacturer Mag. Wolfgang Lederhaas . All ingredients comply with the international guidelines for controlled organic cosmetics; all SOAVO products meet the criteria of the European Cosmetics Regulation and are produced sustainably.
